Bollywood
Bollywood is like the Hollywood of India only its output is 25% of all movies created anually. This is far more than Hollywood. Bollywood movies are also more romantic than American movies and have less action and more music. I don't like them as much though because action movies are my favorite and slow romantic movies are probably my least favorite.

Change
Change is difficult for many people. Change makes people more insecure because they feel a loss of control and unaware of what might happen next. Change can make people fell more secure through slow change. Not all change is bad, such as having a baby, a promotion, college, etc. but some change can be harmful, like the death of a family member or close friend, job loss, foreclosure, or a natural disaster. Overall, I believe rapid change is bad but with the right amount it can make the world a much better place.
Religion/Spirituality
Religion and spirituality are two different things, although they are not too far apart. Religion is a cause or principle held to by faith. Spirituality is sensitivity or attachment to religious values. Even though they are two separate words with different definitions, they are closely related. Religion is a specific belief, while spirituality is the attachment to that belief. Even though they are not the same thing they are very closely related.

Gender and Gender Roles
Gender differences are very different in one part of the world than another. In Western culture women are treated as equal to men, but in Eastern culture women are looked down upon by men. In the book Nectar In A Sieve, girls are a burden on the family while boys are a blessing. Another difference is that women work, while in India, they don't normally go out in public without a man with them.

Hope (Blog assign. #6)
Hope: to cherish a desire with anticipation.
Citizens of New Orleans, even after hurricane Katrina, have hope. They move back, which must take a great deal of courage because of the possibility of another flood or disease, and they hope that they will be o.k. They also hoped people would help clean up, and people did. I chose to use this example because if I was in this situation, I know that I would hope someone would help me or that my stuff was not completely destroyed.

Difficulties
One example of facing a difficulty is Alex Rodriguez facing steroid accusations. He admitted to using performance enhancing drugs. One consequence he faces is suspension. I don't think his should be as severe, not because i am a Yankees fan, but because at least he admitted to it. I don't believe in taking them to perform better, and I would never take them if i had a career playing Major League Baseball, but I would never admit to using them if i did. To admit to using them must take a great deal of courage when you face penalties as severe as being kicked out of the MLB.
Natural Disasters
Natural Disasters can affect people on opposite sides of the world. Take the Tsunami in Indonesia for example. The U.S. was effected because we offered aid to the people and sent volunteers to help with the clean up. The Indonesian government refused the aide packages that were offered, so i guess they didn't really want help, although they probably needed it.
