What's the context here? I'm guessing this is an assignment for a class, but what is the map referring to? A book you all read? Perhaps, in addition to just posting the map, you also blog about it: Explain the map a bit. How did you come up with the connections? Other commenters like the comparisons you made, so explain how the comparisons came to you. Even though most of your audience knows what you're mapping about, other visitors might not. Like me, for example!
Hey Nathan, it's Scott, the grad student from the U of M. I went back and read Tholen's blog and your assignment. Looks like you're doing some interesting things in class. I've never read Animal Dreams, though. Would you recommend it?
I usually like mysteries/thrillers, like John Sandford's "Prey" series, about a MN cop named Lucas Davenport. Sandford's a St. Paul writer who writes about Mpls. and St. Paul.
